Official Site® | Ledgér.com/Start® | Getting Started
Welcome to Ledgér® — your trusted partner in secure digital asset storage. Whether you're a beginner or a crypto veteran, this guide will walk you through setting up your Ledger hardware wallet using the official tools at Ledgér.com/Start®.
🔒 Always access Ledger services through the official site: www.ledger.com/start — never trust third-party download links or pop-ups.
Step 1: Unbox & Verify Your Device
Ensure your Ledger Nano X or Nano S Plus is factory-sealed. Inside the box, you’ll find:
- Your Ledger device
- USB cable
- Recovery sheets
- Instruction guide
Check the holographic sticker and physical packaging for signs of tampering.
Step 2: Install Ledger® Live
Visit Ledgér.com/Start and download the official Ledger Live app for Windows, macOS, or Linux. Ledger Live is the secure interface between your hardware wallet and the blockchain.
Step 3: Set Up Your Device
Open Ledger Live and select “Set up as new device.” Follow the on-screen instructions:
- Choose a strong PIN code
- Write down the 24-word recovery phrase on the provided recovery sheet
- Confirm your phrase on the device to verify backup accuracy
Never share your recovery phrase online or with anyone — Ledger will never ask for it.
Step 4: Add Accounts & Manage Assets
In Ledger Live, go to “Manager” to install the apps for cryptocurrencies you want to manage — like Bitcoin, Ethereum, or Solana. Then add accounts to start receiving funds securely on-chain.
Step 5: Explore Features & Stay Secure
Ledger Live supports staking, swapping, and NFT management — all while your private keys stay offline on your device. For maximum security:
- Enable password lock in Ledger Live
- Verify all addresses on the device screen
- Keep your firmware and Ledger Live app updated
